Keeping it Real

Many times, I find that I am questioning myself as a human, whether I come out as genuine or authentic. But why do we always have to be trying to prove ourselves to others? Why can’t we just live and be ourselves without constantly questioning one another’s authenticity?

My goal is to live an easy going, simple life without trying to constantly prove that I am a genuine person. The people who care enough to know me will see that I am and not question or judge me. I always ask myself, why isn’t life more simple? Why can’t people just give others the benefit of the doubt? I’m not saying we should all be naive but just think a little before you jump at questionning someone’s genuineness.

What I’m trying to take from this is that I will continue to live my life being true to who I am and what to be without trying to prove myself or change to be accepted. Be authentic in your own way, and always keep it real!

We need to find the courage to say no to the things and people that are not serving us if we want to rediscover ourselves and live our lives with authenticity. – Barbara De Angelis

How do you define authenticity?

  1. When I finally starting living my life as who I really am as opposed to who I though I was supposed to be, I came to the amazing realization that I really like myself and who I am. That, I think is the key to being genuine. It gives you the power to not care what anyone else thinks about you and the freedom to live life on your own terms.
